DUNGANSTOWN UNION OF PARISHES
GIFT DAY APPEAL
SUNDAY 2nd JUNE 2024
Dear Friends,
As a community of faith, we have so much to be thankful for. We are thankful every day, for the many people who bless our parish with their patience and dedication. They proclaim the message of the Lord through their unselfish giving of time, talents and generosity, which impacts positively on our whole Church and community.
As a Parish we have shown how resilient we are. Our services provide meaningful ways to worship and to engage with God, our small groups offer the opportunity of growth through fellowship and our children’s and youth groups help to provide a firm foundation of faith for our next generation.
During the past year, we have maintained our beautiful Church buildings and grounds in good order and even managed some long overdue renovations and upgrades, which are our investment in the future. Nonetheless, there is still work to do and we are now, more than ever, committed to further developing our plans for the parish as a whole and developing our ministries in the Church and community.
As a parish, we are almost totally dependent on the giving of parishioners and fundraising and everything we do, is due to the grace of God and the sacrificial giving of many of you. Traditionally, we ask parishioners once a year to prayerfully consider the provision of a special gift in recognition of the parish’s current needs and to help us move forward together with God’s grace.
Therefore, we are appealing for your continued support for our Gift Day which will be on Sunday June 2nd. Whatever amount you can give is important as it comes from your heart. We are indebted to you for your ongoing generosity and never take it, or you, for granted, but see your gift as an important investment in God’s hope.
We will continue to count our blessings that He has bestowed on us and we look forward with renewed vigour and belief in God’s plan for us, in the future. Thanking you.
Yours in Christ,
Roland Heaney Amy Wheatley
